Medium- and
heavy-duty vehicles shall be 100% zero emission by 2045 where feasible, with a mandate going
into effect by 2035 for drayage trucks.
The attached Resolution expresses the City of San Leandro’s support for the state’s transition to
100% ZEVs and further recommends an accelerated timeline to reach this goal by 2030, instead
of 2035.
Budget Impacts
The adoption of this resolution is not anticipated to result in any direct fiscal impacts to the City of
San Leandro.
ATTACHMENT(S)
Attachment(s) to Related Legislative File
·Resolution Supporting the Goal of Reaching 100% Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Sales in
California by 2030
PREPARED BY: Eric Engelbart, Deputy City Manager, City of San Leandro
Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 4/29/2021
125
