5 <br />Municipal <br />Financial <br />Services <br />Pretreatment Program Activities <br />The City's Environmental Services Section implements Pretreatment program activities which <br />focus on pollutants of concern established by USEPA, such as heavy metals and toxic <br />organics, that may be discharged to the Water Pollution Control Facility. Activities include: <br />•Inventory businesses subject to local and federal laws <br />•Issue permits to businesses <br />•Inspect and monitor business compliance with permit terms and conditions <br />•Implement the Pollution Prevention Program <br />•Prepare reports to State regulators that summarize Program compliance status <br />75
