Exhibit A Page 17 of 24 <br />7.When limitation on time between abrasive blasting and coating cannot be met <br />before attachment of components to surfaces which cannot be abrasive <br />blasted, coat components before attachment. <br />8.Ensure primer and intermediate coats of coating are unscarred and <br />completely integral at time of application of each succeeding coat. <br />9.Touch up suction spots between coats and apply additional coats where <br />required to produce finished surface of solid, even color, free of defects. <br />10. Leave no holidays. <br />11. Sand and feather in to a smooth transition and recoat and recoat scratched, <br />contaminated, or otherwise damaged coating surfaces so damages are <br />invisible to naked eye. <br />R. Concrete: <br />1.Apply first coat (primer) only when surface temperature of concrete is <br />decreasing in order to eliminate effects of off-gassing on coating. <br />3.05 ALKALI RESISTANT BITUMASTIC <br />A. Preparation: <br />1.Prepare surfaces in accordance with general preparation requirements. <br />B. Application: <br />1.Apply in accordance with general application requirements and as follows: <br />a.Apply at least 2 coats, 8 to 14 mils dry film thickness each. <br />3.06 WAX COATING <br />A. Preparation: <br />1.Prepare surfaces in accordance with general preparation requirements. <br />B. Application: <br />1.Apply in accordance with general application requirements and as follows: <br />a.Apply at least 1/32-inch thick coat with 2-inch or shorter bristle brush. <br />b.Thoroughly rub coating into metal surface with canvas covered wood <br />block or canvas glove. <br />3.07 HIGH SOLIDS EPOXY SYSTEM <br />A. Preparation: <br />1.Prepare surfaces in accordance with general preparation requirements and <br />as follows: <br />a.Abrasive blast ferrous metal surfaces to be submerged at jobsite in <br />accordance with SSPC SP-5 prior to coating. When cleaned surfaces <br />rust or discolor, abrasive blast surfaces in accordance with SSPC SP-10. <br />641
