<br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between July 19, 2021 <br />City of San Leandro and Redwood Painting Company, Inc. Exhibit A Page 1 of 24 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1. SUMMARY: The work includes all services, labor, materials, transportation and <br />equipment necessary to perform the work described in these specifications. <br /> <br />2. SCOPE: <br /> <br />A. Areas to be recoated: <br />1. Rehabilitation and coating project for Secondary Clarifier Number 1 <br />Mechanical and Stationary Metal assets and structure. This will include the <br />following: Mechanical rotating arms, clarifier center column, scum trough, <br />clarifier drive assemblies and clarifier catwalk with handrails as well as other <br />associated ferrous items. Refer to drawings 24678D1, 24678D2, 24678D51, <br />24678D52, 24678D53 in Attachment D for details of the structure. <br /> <br />2. Rehabilitation and coating for the Thickener Deck stationary structural metal <br />assets. This will include the structural columns and deck beams as well as <br />equipment pads, all piping and associated ferrous hangers below the deck <br />excluding electrical. This portion will be treated as Partially Submerged. Refer <br />to drawings 703.01, 704.01, 705.01, 707.01, 720.01, 722.01 and 723.01 of <br />Case 604 in Attachment D. <br /> <br />B. Submerged items are items that are submerged during normal operation. <br />1. Non-Submerged items are items that are normally not in contact with <br />wastewater and not submerged at any point. <br />2. Partially Submerged are parts that are at the water line and are frequently in <br />contact with wastewater and air. <br /> <br />C. Submerged items: Sand blast to near white ensuring so existing coating and <br />corrosion is removed. If the surface is pitted from rust, prep and use compatible <br />rust converter on pitted areas and any areas in which surface prep is not <br />possible. Coat all submerged ferrous metals on the clarifier arms and columns in <br />coating specified in 09960-8 section 2.03 G. Coal Tar Epoxy that extends 6 <br />inches above water line. <br /> <br />D. Non-Submerged items & Partially Submerged items: Sand Blast to near white <br />ensuring existing coating and corrosion is removed. If the surface is pitted, prep <br />and use compatible rust converter, prep and convert pitted areas and any areas <br />in which surface prep is not possible. Coat all Non- submerged ferrous metals on <br />part of the Clarifier rotating arms, Part of the Center Column, the Cyclonic <br />reducer and rotational mechanisms that turn the clarifier arms, Catwalk and <br />Catwalk Handrails.
