Dehumidification: Provide desiccant or refrigeration drying. Desiccant types <br />shall have a rotary desiccant wheel capable of continuous operation. No <br />Liquid, granular, or loose lithium chloride drying systems will be allowed. <br />4. Heating: Electric, indirect combustion, or steam coil methods may be used. <br />Direct fired combustion heaters will not be allowed during abrasive blasting, <br />coating application, or coating cure time. <br />5. Design and submittals: <br />a. CONTRACTOR shall prepare dehumidification and heating plan for this <br />project, including all equipment and operating procedures if required. <br />b. Suppliers of services and equipment shall have not less than 3 years <br />experience in similar applications; Cargocaire Corporation (Munters) or <br />equal. <br />6. Monitoring and performance: <br />a. Measure and record relative humidity and temperature of air, and <br />structure temperature twice daily (beginning and end of work shifts) to <br />verify that proper humidity and temperature levels are achieved inside <br />the reservoir after the dehumidification equipment is installed and <br />operational. Test results shall be made available to the ENGINEER upon <br />request. <br />b. Interior space of the tank(s) shall be sealed and a slight positive pressure <br />maintained as recommended by the supplier of the dehumidification <br />equipment. <br />c. The filtration system used to remove dust from the air shall be designed <br />so that it does not interfere with the dehumidification equipment’s ability <br />to control the dew point and relative humidity inside the reservoir <br />d. The air from the tank or dust filtration equipment shall not be recirculated <br />through the dehumidifier during coating application or when solvent <br />vapors are present. <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MANUFACTURERS <br /> <br />A.
