Deliver new unopened containers with labels identifying the manufacturer's <br />name, brand name, product type, batch number, date of manufacturer, expiration <br />date or shelf life, color, and mixing and reducing instructions. <br />D. Do not deliver materials aged more than 12 months from manufacturing date. <br />E. Store coatings in well-ventilated facility that provides protection form the sun <br />weather, and fire hazards. Maintain ambient storage temperature between 45 <br />and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, unless otherwise recommended by the <br />manufacturer. <br />F. Take precautions to prevent fire and spontaneous combustion. <br /> <br />1.08 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> <br />A. Surface moisture contents: Do not coat surfaces that exceed manufacturer <br />specified moisture contents, or when not specified by the manufacturer, the <br />following moisture contents: <br />1. Plaster and gypsum wallboard: 12 percent. <br />2. Masonry, concrete, and concrete block: 12 percent. <br />3. Interior located wood: 15 percent. <br />4. Concrete floors: 7 percent. <br />B. Do not apply coatings: <br />1. Under dusty conditions or adverse environmental conditions, unless tenting, <br />covers, or other such protection is provided for structures to be coated. <br />2. When light on surfaces measures less than 15 foot-candles. <br />3. When ambient or surface temperature is less than 55 degrees Fahrenheit <br />unless manufacturer allows a lower temperature. <br />4. When relative humidity is higher than 85 percent. <br />5. When surface temperature is less than 5 degrees Fahrenheit above dew <br />point. <br />6. When surface temperature exceeds the manufacturer's recommendation. <br />7. When ambient temperature exceeds 90 degrees Fahrenheit, unless <br />manufacturer allows a higher temperature. <br />8. Apply clear finishes at minimum 65 degrees Fahrenheit. <br />C. Provide fans, heating devices, dehumidifiers, or other means recommended by <br />coating manufacturer to prevent formation of condensate or dew on surface of <br />substrate, coating between coats and within curing time following application of <br />last coat. <br />D. Provide adequate continuous ventilation and sufficient heating facilities to <br />maintain minimum 55 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours before, during and 48 <br />hours after application of finishes. <br />E. Systems: <br />1. Site electrical power: Available for CONTRACTOR’s use. <br />2.
