The City makes an attempt to have the boat owner <br />take responsibility in uprighting the boat and removing it from the water if it continues to be in <br />danger of sinking. If the owner is unresponsive, the City will take ownership, lien the vessel, and <br />initiate removal and disposal procedures. Funds used to pay for the raising, removal and disposal <br />of the vessel come from berthing fees collected by the City.
