6 Maintenance <br />6.4.2 Overhaul <br />Service item <br />Action <br />Impeller <br />1. Check the impel Ierclearance. <br />2. Adjust the impeller, if necessary. <br />Stator housing <br />1. Drain all liquid, if any. <br />2. Check the resistance of the leakage sensor. <br />Normal value approximately1500 ohms, alarm approximately <br />430 ohms. <br />Insulation <br />Use megger maximum 1000V. <br />1. Checkthatthe resistance between the ground (earth) and phase lead <br />is more than 5 megohms. <br />2. Conduct a phase -to -phase resistance check. <br />Junction box <br />Checkthat it is clean and dry. <br />Lifting device <br />Checkthatthe local safety regulations are followed. <br />Lifting handle <br />1. Check the screws. <br />2. Checkthe condition ofthe lifting handle and the chain. <br />3. If necessary, replace. <br />0-rings <br />1. Replace the oil plug 0-rings. <br />2. Replace the 0-rings at the entrance orjunction cover. <br />3. Grease the new 0-rings. <br />Overload protection and other <br />Checkthe correct settings, <br />protections <br />Personnel safety devices <br />Checkthe guard rails, covers, and other protections. <br />Rotation direction <br />Checkthe impeller rotation. <br />Oil housing <br />Fill with new oil, if necessary. <br />Terminal block/closed end splice <br />Checkthatthe connections are properly secured. <br />Thermal contacts <br />Normally closed circuit; interval 0-1 ohm. <br />Voltage and amperage <br />Checkthe running values. <br />The basic repair kit includes 0-rings, seals, and bearings. <br />For an overhaul, do the following in addition to the tasks listed under Inspection. <br />Service item <br />Action <br />Support and main bearing <br />Replace the bearings with new bearings. <br />Mechanical seal . <br />Replace with new seal units. <br />6.4.3 Service in case of alarm <br />For information about indication values for sensors, see Sensors connection on page 36. <br />Alarm source <br />Action <br />CLS <br />Check for water in the oil housing.
