6 Maintenance <br />6. Mount the suction cover: <br />a) Fit the studs on the pump housing. <br />Use Loctite 603 locking liquid in order to secure the studs. <br />b) Fit two adjustment washers with a thickness of 2 mm (0.08 in) and $-10 adjustment <br />washers with a thickness of 0.25 mm (0.01 in), onto each stud. <br />c) Fit the suction cover to the studs. <br />d) Fit the lock nuts onto the studs. <br />e) Tighten the nuts, <br />Tightening torque: 17 Nm (13 ft-lb) <br />7. Adjustthe suction cover: <br />a) Measure the distance between the impeller and the suction cover. <br />The correct distance should be 0.5-1 mm (0.02-0.04 in).
