McDaniel <br />Announcements1.B. <br />Members of the Disaster Council introduced themselves and the agencies they <br />represent. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS2. <br />City of San Leandro response to COVID-19 <br />• San Leandro City Council <br />2.A. <br />Mayor Cutter was not available and Councilmember Ballew had no comments. <br />Vice Mayor Aguilar shared that just over 85% of the City staff are vaccinated. The City <br />has been discussing what the steps will be taking in future, including vaccine <br />mandates. <br />Alameda County <br />• Office of Emergency Services <br />• Alameda County Fire Department <br />• Alameda Public Health Department <br />2.B. <br />Alameda County OES reported that they conducted a test of the AC Alert System this <br />morning at 10:30 a.m. and were able to make over 3500 contacts, using the app, <br />email, home phones and SMS messaging. Information about the Great Shakeout and <br />preparedness resources were included in the messaging. On October 19, the Governor <br />proclaimed a drought emergency and people are encouraged to conserve. PG&E has <br />been in contact with OES about the recent inclement weather, which could cause <br />damage to PG&E infrastructure, fires, and power outages. <br />There are 117,811 COVID cases within the county, 1391 deaths, and 92 people are <br />hospitalized with 33 in the ICU. Just under 2.5 million vaccines have been <br />administered within the county, with over 1 million fully vaccinated. The test positivity <br />rate out for 4 million test administrated is 3.4%, the adjusted case rate is 5.8, and <br />Page 2City of San Leandro <br />33
