City of San Leandro Meeting Date: July 5, 2022 Resolution - Council Agenda Section:File Number:22-019 CONSENT CALENDAR Agenda Number: TO:City Council FROM:Fran Robustelli City Manager BY:Sheila Marquises Acting Engineering & Transportation Director FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh Finance Director TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Accept a Portion of the Work for the Annual Street Overlay / Rehabilitation 2018-2020 Project, Project No. 2019.0050 (Accepts the portion of the work that is complete as of December 31, 2021) WHEREAS, pursuant to a construction contract between the City of San Leandro and DeSilva Gates Construction approved on July 6, 2020, by Resolution No. 2020-085, DeSilva Gates Construction has completed a portion of the Annual Street Overlay / Rehabilitation 2018-2020 Project consisting of all work except Corvallis Street; and WHEREAS, said work was completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and to the satisfaction of the Engineering and Transportation Director, who therefore recommends that said work be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby RESOLVES as follows: 1.That the work hereinbefore described is hereby accepted; and 2.That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a Notice of Completion for the completed portions of said project; and 3. That upon receipt of a maintenance bond for 10% of the value of completed work and new payment and performance bonds each for 100% of the value of the incomplete work, the bonds heretofore given for performance and payment of said conditions are to be released; and 4. That the one-year maintenance period established pursuant to said contract for all work under the contract except Corvallis Street will commence upon the date this resolution is approved.
