<br />San Leandro Public Library <br />Memory Lab <br />2021-2022 <br />40-9281 <br />Page 15 of 40 <br />30. Limitation of Expenditure: Expenditure for all projects must conform to the <br />approved budget, as amended, and with applicable Federal and State laws <br />and regulations. The total amount paid by the California State Library to the <br />subrecipient under this agreement shall not exceed $19,360 and shall be <br />expended/encumbered in the designated award period. <br /> <br />During the award period, the subrecipient may find that the awarded budget <br />may need to be modified. Budget changes, requests for additional funds, or <br />requests for reductions in award funding must be discussed with the assigned <br />State Library Grant Monitor and a Grant Award Modification may be required to <br />be submitted according to the instructions. Approval is by the State Librarian. <br />Adjustments should be reported on the next financial report. Any adjustments in <br />approved budgets must be documented and documentation retained in <br />project accounts. <br /> <br />31. Lobbying: Subrecipient confirms that the grant funds will not be used for the <br />purposes of lobbying or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, as those <br />purposes are defined by the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1986. <br /> <br />32. Non-Discrimination Clause: During this grant period, the Subrecipient and the <br />Subrecipient’s contractors, and subcontractors shall not unlawfully discriminate, <br />harass, or allow harassment against any employee or applicant for employment <br />because of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical <br />disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, <br />sex, age, sexual orientation, or military and veteran status. Subrecipient shall <br />insure that the evaluation and treatment of contractors, employees and <br />applicants for employment are free from such discrimination and harassment. <br /> <br />Additionally, Subrecipient, contractors, and subcontractors, if applicable, shall <br />comply with the provisions of the Fair Employment and Housing Act (Gov. Code <br />§12900 et seq.), the regulations promulgated thereunder (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, <br />§11000 et seq.), the provisions of Article 9.5, Chapter 1, Part 1, Division 3, Title 2 of <br />the Government Code (Gov. Code §§ 11135-11139.5), and the regulations or <br />standards adopted by the California State Library to implement such article. <br /> <br />Subrecipient shall permit access by representatives of the Department of Fair <br />Employment and Housing and the California State Library upon reasonable <br />notice at any time during the normal business hours, but in no case less than 24 <br />hours’ notice, to such of its books, records, accounts, and all other sources of <br />information and its facilities as said Department or the California State Library <br />shall require to ascertain compliance with this clause.
