Plan sheets to be <br />drawn at a minimum scales of: 1”=20’ for mill and fill; 1” = 50’ for cape seal sheets, base repair <br />location layouts and striping plans; and 1”=200’ for limits of work and location vicinity maps. <br />• A bid quantity table summarizing major work items (e.g., HMA tonnage, base repair area, etc.) and <br />their estimated quantities will be developed and included on each respective plan sheet. <br /> <br />City Responsibilities: <br />The City provide the following: <br />• Readily available utility information (i.e., water, sanitary sewer, electrical, and storm drain), <br />boundary and property limits (if available), tree locations, site features and existing construction. <br />• Readily available aerial maps. <br />• Available Sanitary Sewer video logs and data. <br />• Project requirements including design objectives, budget, constraints, and criteria. <br />• Provide front-end specifications including General Provisions and Special Provisions. <br />• City Standard Plans and Details. <br />• Electronic files of City cover sheet template. <br />• Direction on extending street improvements into Caltrans, BART, or Rail ROW. <br />• Contract Documents for the Curb Ramp and the Sanitary Sewer Point Repair project phases. <br />• Onsite construction inspectors monitoring the construction contract. <br />• Review and comment on design progress submittals. <br /> <br />Assumptions: <br />• 60,000 LF of sanitary sewer mains will require video review. <br />• 28 pavement core locations taking 5 days to complete. <br />• 27 bulk soil samples will be obtained for laboratory testing. <br />• Street condition field surveys are limited to only those items necessary to show on the plans for the <br />pavement repair scope of work; including pavement dig-out locations, offset curb and gutters, and <br />excessive crown / cross slope. <br />• Scope assumes one encroachment permit resubmittal is necessary to address any comments from <br />Caltrans and BART. <br />• Railroad coordination is predicated on the fact that no significant improvements or changes, such <br />as to vehicular or pedestrian movements, pavement grades, or roadway alignments, are proposed <br />within the railroad ROW <br />• Tasks which significantly exceed this estimate for reasons beyond Consultant’s control shall be <br />discussed with the City prior to exceeding. If justified, the City can issue a change order for <br />additional work or modify the scope.
