RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2022-044 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO <br />APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 2 FOR $21,964; AND TO INCREASE THE <br />CUMULATIVE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS CAP FROM 10% TO 25% (FROM <br />$24,884 TO $62,212) TO AN EXISTING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />WITH CSG CONSULTING, INC. FOR THE WASHINGTON AVENUE <br />RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2018.4020 (PROVIDES FOR <br />ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK AND AUTHORIZATION FOR A HIGHER <br />CUMULATIVE CONTRACT AMENDMENT CAP) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement dated June 30, 2020, exists between the City of San Leandro <br />and CSG Consultants, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement was amended; and <br />WHEREAS, an Amendment No. 2 is required to compensate for an increase in the scope <br />of work for the design of the Washington Avenue Reconstruction Project for $21,964 for a total <br />contract amount of $295,629; and <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 is required to extend the term of the contract from <br />December 31, 2022 to December 31, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 to the agreement, a copy of which is attached, is presented <br />to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to expedite the delivery of public projects on schedule and on <br />budget, and insure that the City completes projects that are to the City's highest standards, the City <br />Council finds that providing authorization to negotiate and approve contract amendments is in the <br />best interest of public health, safety and welfare; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the <br />agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council RESOLVES as follows: <br />That cumulative contract amendments up to a maximum of $62,212, which is 25% of the <br />original contract amount, are approved and the City Manager or her designee is authorized to <br />complete negotiations of the contract amendments up to that amount; and <br />That said Amendment No. 2 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized. <br />
