RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2022-044 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 2 FOR $21,964; AND TO INCREASE THE CUMULATIVE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS CAP FROM 10% TO 25% (FROM $24,884 TO $62,212) TO AN EXISTING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CSG CONSULTING, INC. FOR THE WASHINGTON AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2018.4020 (PROVIDES FOR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK AND AUTHORIZATION FOR A HIGHER CUMULATIVE CONTRACT AMENDMENT CAP) WHEREAS, an agreement dated June 30, 2020, exists between the City of San Leandro and CSG Consultants, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Agreement was amended; and WHEREAS, an Amendment No. 2 is required to compensate for an increase in the scope of work for the design of the Washington Avenue Reconstruction Project for $21,964 for a total contract amount of $295,629; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 is required to extend the term of the contract from December 31, 2022 to December 31, 2023; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 to the agreement, a copy of which is attached, is presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, in order to expedite the delivery of public projects on schedule and on budget, and insure that the City completes projects that are to the City's highest standards, the City Council finds that providing authorization to negotiate and approve contract amendments is in the best interest of public health, safety and welfare; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council RESOLVES as follows: That cumulative contract amendments up to a maximum of $62,212, which is 25% of the original contract amount, are approved and the City Manager or her designee is authorized to complete negotiations of the contract amendments up to that amount; and That said Amendment No. 2 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
