Objective Development Standards <br />City Council Draft Code Amendments <br />A-93 <br />d. A minimum of 30 inches shall be provided between adjoining bicycle parking <br />racks. <br />D. Location. <br />1. Bicycle parking shall be located outside of pedestrian walkways, and within 100 feet of a <br />main entrance to the building it serves. <br />2. Bicycle parking shall be located outside of the public right -of-way except short term bicycle <br />parking may be located within the right-of-way pursuant to an encroachment permit. <br />3. Where the secure bicycle parking area is not visible from the main entrance of the <br />buildings, signs located at the main entrance of the building shall identify the location of <br />bicycle parking. <br /> <br />A. Where Required. Bicycle parking may be required as part of Site Development or Use Permit <br />approval and may, if so specified by the Site Development Sub-Committee or Board of Zoning <br />Adjustments, be used as a substitute to automobile parking spaces. <br />B. Number Required. <br />3. Public and Semipublic Use Classifications. As specified by use permit. <br />4. Commercial Use Classifications. Five percent of the requirement for automobile parking <br />spaces, except for the following classifications, which are exempt: <br />a. Ambulance Services <br />b. Animal Boarding <br />c. Animal Grooming <br />d. Catering Services <br />e. Commercial Filming <br />f. Horticulture, Limited <br />g. Funeral and Interment Services <br />h. Vehicle/Equipment Sales and Services (all classifications) <br />C. Design Requirements. All required bicycle parking spaces shall permit the locking of the bicycle <br />frame and one wheel with a u-type lock and support the bicycle in a stable position without damage <br />to wheels, frame or components. Bicycle parking facilities shall be securely anchored so that they <br />cannot be easily removed and shall be of sufficient strength to resist vandalism and theft. <br />D. B-TOD Requirements. Bicycle parking shall be provided for new development or changes of use in <br />the B-TOD District in accord with the following specifications. <br />142
