File Number: 22-379 <br />On January 1, 2022, the City Manager received a 3% salary adjustment. Providing an additional <br />3% salary adjustment effective June 1, 2022 will make the City Manager’s increase comparable <br />to the 6% salary adjustment received by employees in the San Leandro Management <br />Organization and San Leandro City Employees Association. This salary adjustment and other <br />provision changes recognizes the performance of the City Manager, maintains external <br />competitiveness within the labor market, and addresses internal compaction issues. The City <br />Manager has been contributing 10% of salary towards pension costs and will continue to do so <br />going forward. <br />The salary schedules have been revised to reflect the salary adjustment and are presented in <br />accordance with California Code of Regulations Section 570.5, which requires that salary <br />schedules be in a format that identifies the position title, the payrate, the effective date, the range, <br />and be duly approved and adopted by the governing body. <br />Previous Actions <br />On May 3, 2021, by Resolution No. 2021-070, the City Council approved an employment <br />agreement with Frances Robustelli to serve as City Manager. <br />Financial Impacts <br />The 3% salary increase represents a budget increase of approximately $10,188 for Fiscal Year <br />2022-2023, which will require Council appropriation from the General Fund Undesignated Fund <br />Balance to the corresponding salary allocation account. <br />ATTACHMENT(S) <br />Attachment(s) to Staff Report <br />·Attachment 1: Resolution of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve Amendment <br />No.1 to the City Manager’s Employment Agreement between the City of San Leandro and <br />Frances Robustelli <br />·Attachment 2: Amendment No.1 to Employment Agreement between the City of San <br />Leandro and Frances Robustelli and salary schedules <br />PREPARED BY: Emily Hung, Human Resources Director, Human Resources Department <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 6/1/2022
