IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO <br />APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />WITH MV TRANSPORTATION, INC. FOR PARATRANSIT SERVICES FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2022-2023 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement dated July 1, 2020 exists between the City of San Leandro <br />and MV Transportation, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MV Transportation, Inc. has provided shuttle services for the FLEX Shuttle <br />program since 2003 in the City of San Leandro; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council supports the Shuttle program and allows these services to <br />be available for the 50-year or older, or 18-year or older disabled and East Bay Paratransit <br />certified; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City supports the mobility of seniors and the disabled; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City receives funding for these services through the Alameda County <br />voter-approved Measures B and BB; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Transportation Commission’s Timely Use of Funds <br />Policy encourages Measure B/Measure BB/Vehicle Registration Fee recipients to expend voter- <br />approved transportation dollars expeditiously on transportation improvements and operations <br />that the public can use and benefit from immediately; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 to the agreement, a copy of which is attached, was <br />presented to this City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the <br />agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. That said amendment in a total amount not to exceed $604,582.89 is hereby <br />approved; and <br /> <br />2. That the terms of the agreement will be memorialized in writing by the City <br />Manager, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form; and <br /> <br />3. That the City Manager is authorized to execute said agreement with MV Paratransit, <br />Inc.; and <br /> <br />4. That an original executed agreement shall be provided to the City Clerk and be <br />attached to and made a part of this resolution.
