City of San Leandro Civic Center, 835 E. 14th Street San Leandro, California 94577 October 10, 1997 Mr. Jerry Guss C & G Contractors 23878 Clawiter Road Hayward CA 94545 Dear Mr. Guss: On October 21, 1996, the City Council granted a six month extension for you to bring your operation at 2660 Eden Road into full compliance with your Conditional Use Permit (CU-93-14), the City Grading Ordinance and all other City regulations. Your deadline for compliance was April 21, 1997. City staff has inspected the site on several occasions since April 21, 1997, and has continued to monitor your ongoing compliance. The most recent inspection was conducted on October 3, 1997. At that time, the site was in conformance with the Conditional Use Permit and the Grading Ordinance. The only outstanding condition has been your failure to post the bond required by the Engineering Division. As you are in compliance with the Grading Ordinance, the Engineering Division is willing to waive the bond requirement at this time. In the January 2, 1997 letter to you, I indicated that a public hearing would be scheduled before the City Council following your April 21 deadline. I have reviewed the matter with the City Attorney and have been informed that it is not necessary to have another public hearing because you have brought the site into conformance as required by the City Council. Staff will continue to periodically monitor the site to verify your ongoing compliance with your Conditional Use Permit and the Grading Ordinance.
