Ms. Shelia Sanders
C & G Contractors
Re: 2660 Eden Road
Page 2 of ,.3
2. 10-foot clearances along the north, south, and east property lines, and a 20-foot clearance
along the west property line shall be maintained at all times. There shall be no stockpiling
of materials of any sort in the described clearances.
3. A silt fence shall be installed and maintained, to the satisfaction of the Engineering
Department. Install erosion control measures such as straw waddles and plantings
adjacent to the drainage ditch to prevent sediment laden runoff from polluting the
waterways.
4. A new topographic survey shall be required after grading operations have been completed
(explanation provided in January 8, 1997 letter).
In addition to the concerns expressed by the Engineering Department, there are additional issues,
which were conveyed to you in a separate meeting with City staff from the Water Pollution
Control Plant (WPCP). These are as follows:
5. C&G will start clearing away the "threatening" debris and debris that had already
encroached on the City's land.
6. C&G will continue to clear debris from the City's emergency exit and maintain a clear
access road at all times.
7. If it was necessary for C&G Contractors' tractors to enter or egress on City property,
C&G would provide proof of insurance naming the City as an additional insured.
8. C&G agreed that the damaged WPCP fence was caused by their debris, but that the fence
couldn't be replaced until debris removal is completed.
At your earliest convenience or no later than two weeks from receipt of this letter, please submit
a time line to the City indicating when the tasks indicated above would be started/completed.
Understanding that C & G is a tenant and not the property owner and that you may need to
discuss this matter with your landlord, the City is nonetheless desirous of bringing the business
and property into compliance with the existing use permit in a timely fashion. Once a timeline
has been agreed upon, the City will be monitoring conformance closely. Once compliance with
the existing use permit has been achieved, and if you wish to proceed with filing for modification
to the use permit to allow the import of dirt, I will be happy to assist you with that matter. Thank
you in advance for your cooperation and please do not hesitate to call me at 577-3327 should you
have any questions.
