City of San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />Agency -Wide Achievements <br />trl <br />Economic Development — City <br />• Awning, Sign and Paint Program: Initiated fifteen and completed fifteen fagade <br />improvements through the Awing, Sign and Paint program. <br />• New Redevelopment Area Established: Adopted the West San Leandro/MacArthur <br />Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area. <br />• Disposition and Development Agreements: Approved three (3) Disposition and <br />Development Agreements. <br />• Owner Participation Agreements: Approved five (5) Owner Participation <br />Agreements. <br />• Planning Studies: Initiated Phase II planning for the Central San Leandro BART <br />Strategic Plan, the MacArthur Boulevard Streetscape Master Plan and the BART <br />Shuttle Feasibility Study. <br />Economic Development — County <br />• Completed 35% construction drawings for East 141h Street streetscape improvements <br />and 80% Joint Trench design for underground utilities. <br />• Completed Phase II environmental testing along the East 14t' Street / Mission <br />Boulevard corridor as part of the Brownfields Redevelopment Pilot project. <br />• Completed Caltrans required Project Study Report for the installation of <br />recommended Master Plan streetscape improvements on a state highway (East 14`h <br />Street / Mission Boulevard). <br />• Received $840,000 MTC Livable Communities grant and $500,000 CDBG grant for <br />streetscape work. <br />• Provided design assistance to four commercial businesses for upgrading signage and <br />facades. <br />• Conducted monthly meetings with East 14t' Street / Mission Boulevard business and <br />property owners. <br />0 Initiated preservation of the San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery. <br />
