Housing - City <br />During Fiscal Year 1999-00, the Redevelopment Agency has accomplished the following: <br />• First -Time Homebuyer Program: Approved 14 loans to low- and moderate -income <br />homebuyers. <br />• First -Time Homebuyer Seminars: Sponsored five (5) educational seminars for <br />homebuyers. <br />• Single -Family Housing Rehabilitation Program: Assisted a non-profit developer <br />with a grant for handicapped accessibility improvements at a safe house (2 units, 20 <br />women and children). <br />• Apartment Rehabilitation Program: Completed the rehabilitation of two (2) <br />apartment buildings, a 26-unit and a 5-unit to which two (2) new apartments were <br />added, and initiated discussions with the owner of a 9-unit building. <br />• Special Needs Housing: Assisted a non-profit developer with land acquisition for 16- <br />units of affordable apartments for developmentally disabled adults. <br />• Senior Housing: Approved a DDA with a non-profit developer for construction of <br />affordable housing for seniors. <br />• Inclusionary Housing: established a wait list for inclusionary units in two residential <br />subdivisions <br />Housing — County <br />• Multi -family Apartment Project: None <br />
