Zoning Text Changes 5 <br />i. <br />July 2, 2001 <br />CONCLUSION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the Negative Declaration, and introduce <br />the Ordinance approving the proposed amendments to the Zoning Code as recommended <br />by the Planning Commission, and as further amended by Attachment H, which reflects <br />the concerns expressed at the Council Work Session of June 11, 2001. The proposed <br />amendments do not include administrative review of small fast-food restaurants (under <br />1500 square feet) as recommended by the Joint Project Area (RAC). Furthermore, if the <br />City Council would like to include the recommendations of the Joint Project Area <br />Redevelopment Advisory Committee, then Attachment I should be incorporated into the <br />Ordinance. <br />A second reading of the proposed ordinance is scheduled for the City Council Meeting of <br />July 16, 2001. Pending Council's action on July 16, the approved ("new") Zoning Code <br />will become effective on August 15, 2001.
