budget should be eliminated: Deputy City Manager, Planning Manager, Senior Computer <br />Operator, Computer Operator, Senior Sanitation Supervisor, Sanitation Operations <br />Supervisor, Operations Superintendent, Refuse Collector I, and Refuse Collector II. <br />The classifications of Associate Engineer, Information Services Manager, City Engineer, <br />and Senior Personnel Analyst have had their salary schedules increased to ensure the <br />competitiveness of those positions under current market conditions. The Business <br />Development Manager, Shoreline Operations Manager, Environmental Services Manager, <br />and Chief Building Official have had both their responsibilities and compensation <br />increased. The Housing -Community Development Block Grant Coordinator and the <br />Community Development Director have had their classification titles amended. All of the <br />above adjustments were made by the City Manager pursuant to authority granted by the <br />City Council. <br />Effective January 1, 2001 California Minimum Wage established $6.25 per hour as a new <br />minimum wage.
