Pursuant to Section 2-3-160 <br />of the Municipal Code, the Finance Director shall make such rules and regulations as are <br />necessary to effectuate this Section. <br />SECTION 3. Title 2, Chapter 2-3 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended by the <br />addition of the following new section. <br />2-3-122 Exemption —Inherited Property. <br />Any tax imposed pursuant to this Chapter shall not apply to any deed, instrument, or other <br />writing by which a person inherits a single-family residence or condominium, as those terms are <br />defined in Section 1-304 of the Zoning Code. <br />SECTION 4. The rebates and exemptions in this ordinance shall apply to any transfer of real <br />property as of January 2, 2001. <br />SECTION 5. The provisions of Section 2 of this ordinance shall be deemed rescinded as of <br />June 30, 2003. <br />SECTION 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency ordinance and pursuant to San <br />Leandro Municipal Code Section 1-1-345 (d) shall take effect immediately because it is related <br />to taxes for the usual and current expenses of the City.
