Create the new classifications of Planner III and set the salary range at $5,420-$5,705- $6,005-$6,321-$6,654 per month, and Plan Check Engineer and set the salary range at $5,399-$5,669-$5,953-$6,248-$6,561 per month; re -title the positions of Assistant City Planner to Planner I and Associate City Planner to Planner II; 2. Revise and re -title the Community Services Director to Library Director and Library Services Manager to City Librarian positions; re -title the Recreation Programs Manager and Human Services Manager positions to Recreation and Human Services Manager; revise and re -title the position of Events Specialist to Recreation Coordinator; and, 3. Create the position of Landscape Maintenance Worker III and set the salary range at $3,617- $3,808-$4,008-$4,219-$4,441 per month. 4. Create the position of Assistant Public Works Services Director and set the salary range at $6,376-$6,695-$7,031-$7,381-$7,751 per month SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council approve a resolution amending Section 1 of the Pay Plan to: • Create the position of Planner III and set the salary range at $5,42045,70546,00546,321- $6,654 per month (The creation of this position will eliminate one Associate City Planner position.); • Re -title one position of Assistant City Planner to Planner I, and one position of Associate City Planner to Planner II; and • Create the position of Plan Check Engineer and set the salary range at $5,399-$5,669-$5,953- $6,248-$6,561 per month (The creation of this position will eliminate one Associate -level Engineer position). % %C
