Create the position of Central Services Supervisor and set the salary range at $3,347 - $3,513 <br />- $3,690 - $3,877 - $4,071 per month; <br />2. Create the part-time classifications salary schedule; <br />3. Create the Confidential Employees Unrepresented Group. <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve a resolution establishing salaries, creating the <br />part-time classifications salary schedule and a separate Confidential Employees Unrepresented <br />Group. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Existing salaries met the needs of the City at the time they were approved. In order to reflect the <br />latest changes in the reorganization structure of departments the following changes needed to be <br />made. <br />DISCUSSION <br />1. Create the Central Services Supervisor job classification. This position will be responsible for <br />the overall operation of the reproduction and mail services facility, which involves directing <br />staff, assigning jobs, scheduling and prioritizing workloads, communicating with department <br />users, equipment maintenance, vendor relations, staff supervision, and ensuring the delivery of <br />quality services. Additionally, this position provides administrative support to the Information <br />Services department. The salary range recommended for the Central Services Supervisor job <br />classification is$3,347-$3,513-$3,690-$3,877-$4,071 per month. <br />2. Create the part-time salary schedule. The part-time salary schedule reflects a broader range <br />of classification and salary ranges to allow for the anticipated expansion of our Recreation <br />and Human -Services Department activities. Part-time employees placement in the salary <br />schedule will be determined by their assignment and experience. <br />! g5 <br />
