Staff is recommending that Council appoint the <br />following new committee members: Donald Bruzzone, representing the Property Owner <br />Category in West San Leandro; Mike Boyle, representing MacArthur Boulevard Property <br />Owners; and Francis Hilliard, representing MacArthur Boulevard Business Operators. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) for the West San Leandro/MacArthur <br />Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area is an elected advisory committee comprised of business <br />and property owners and adjacent residents. This committee meets monthly and advises the San <br />Leandro Redevelopment Agency/City Council concerning policy matters relating to establishing <br />and implementing redevelopment in this project area. <br />Representatives are divided between the two separate portions of the Redevelopment Area based <br />on the size of the area. The larger West San Leandro portion of the Project Area has four (4) <br />business owners/operators, four (4) property owners, and two (2) residents. The MacArthur <br />Boulevard portion of the project area has two (2) business owners/operators, two (2) property <br />owners and one (1) resident representative. Each of these members was elected for three year <br />terms. <br />- 271 <br />
