The Committee acknowledged that only staff generated items could be transmitted via email at this time and all other items would continue to be included in the Council's normal mail packet. Fiscal Impact: City Council Technology — Cafeteria Plan: A Budget Adjustment in the amount of $44,170 from General Fund Contingencies is required because funding for these items and associated maintenance costs were not included in the FY99-00 approved budget. The Budget Adjustment calculation assumes that each Council Member will chose one of each option. City Council Agenda Packet Information: no fiscal impact at this time. City Council Communications: no fiscal impact at this time. CONCLUSION The Committee recommends that the City Council: 1) approve the list of City Council Technology Resources; 2) approve a Budget Adjustment in the amount of $44,170 for acquisition of the City Council Technology Resources; 3) refer the matter of City Council Agenda Packet to the Facilities Committee for inclusion in their discussion regarding the City Council Chambers; 4) approve the City Council Communications pilot study in which City Council would receive on a weekly basis via email from the City Manager as much staff generated information as possible. g:\dept\conurtittec\ro-cdwhnology-stafttdm 7;
