The <br />Committee acknowledged that only staff generated items could be transmitted via email at this <br />time and all other items would continue to be included in the Council's normal mail packet. <br />Fiscal Impact: <br />City Council Technology — Cafeteria Plan: <br />A Budget Adjustment in the amount of $44,170 from General Fund Contingencies <br />is required because funding for these items and associated maintenance costs were not <br />included in the FY99-00 approved budget. The Budget Adjustment calculation assumes <br />that each Council Member will chose one of each option. <br />City Council Agenda Packet Information: no fiscal impact at this time. <br />City Council Communications: no fiscal impact at this time. <br />CONCLUSION <br />The Committee recommends that the City Council: <br />1) approve the list of City Council Technology Resources; <br />2) approve a Budget Adjustment in the amount of $44,170 for acquisition of the City Council <br />Technology Resources; <br />3) refer the matter of City Council Agenda Packet to the Facilities Committee for inclusion in <br />their discussion regarding the City Council Chambers; <br />4) approve the City Council Communications pilot study in which City Council would receive on <br />a weekly basis via email from the City Manager as much staff generated information as <br />possible. <br />g:\dept\conurtittec\ro-cdwhnology-stafttdm <br />7; <br />
