Sewer, and Storm Water Rate Increases; Matter of <br />Adoption of Proposed Rate Increases for Refuse, Recycling, Sewer, and <br />Storm Water Service Charges (required Public Hearing, in accordance with <br />Proposition 218, for adoption of property -related fees) <br />MEETING DATE: August 3, 1998 <br />The Public Hearings Regarding Rate Increases for Refuse, Recycling, Sewer, and Storm <br />Water Service Charges, Items 3.111 through 3.E, were opened, conducted together, and <br />closed. <br />Minute Order No. 98-44, Matter of Adoption of Proposed Rate Increases for Refuse, Recycling, <br />Sewer, and Storm Water Service Charges (required Public Hearings, in accordance with <br />Proposition 218, for adoption of property -related fees). (1051/1078/1934/1221/2318) <br />The City Council continued the matter of adoption of proposed rate increases for refuse, <br />recycling, sewer, and storm water service to the August 17, 1998, City Council Meeting; and <br />requested that staff return with information on the costs for privatization of services and <br />recommendations as to how to realize savings on street sweeping and curb -side service, with <br />emphasis on how long it would be cost effective and if the rates would hold steady. <br />M/S/C Galvan and Loeffler.
