• Managing and supervising the accounting operations; <br />• Performing financial analysis on operating and enterprise accounts; <br />• Directing and performing the analysis of fee schedules; <br />• Supervising the accountants and support staff. <br />The analysis further disclosed that it is not necessary to fill this position at the Assistant <br />Finance Director level, as the major duties and responsibilities relate to managing a <br />division of the department rather than having departmental wide management <br />responsibilities. <br />The salary range proposed for this position is based on an internal analysis. The <br />recommended salary range is approximately twenty-five (25%) above the range for <br />Accountant and fifteen (15%) below Assistant Finance Director. The proposed salary <br />range is equal to the range for Senior Administrative Assistant. <br />Fiscal Impact: The fiscal impact of this proposal will result in an <br />annualized saving of $11,376. <br />CONCLUSION <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve a resolution amending the Pay Plan to <br />create the position of Financial Analyst and set the salary range at $4,851 - $5,093 - <br />$5,348 - $5,615 - $5,896 per month. <br />f./wp/ctymgrifinanal.doc <br />128 <br />
