 Strategic Plan
SECTION 6
STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
TREATMENT BY OTHERS
By Oro Loma Sanitary District
Oro Loma Sanitary District has a plant capacity of 20 mgd average dry weather flow, with
peak wet weather capability to about 69 mgd. Currently the plant averages about 10.5 mgd
and flows have dr6pped since 1987 when the flow was 14 mgd. The District feels it has
plenty of room to expand and could easily accept the City of San Leandro flows.
To get raw sewage to the Oro Loma facilities would require the construction of a raw
sewage lift station at the location of the WPCP and a forcemain. A possible route for the
forcemain is shown in Figure 6-1. Estimated construction and operating costs for the lift
station and forcemain are given in Table 6-1.
. ... ................ ...................
Capital Costs:
• Lift station
• Forcemain
• Existing Plant Demolition
• Subtotal
Operation and Maintenance
Costs
Present worth (20 years
@ 10%)
TOTAL COST
• 22 mgd capacity
• 6 miles of 36-inch diameter
is off
C 08 ClA
-00142-Ve 6-1 IM
