San Leandro Council Member Handbook | 20212022 <br />17 | Page <br /> <br /> <br />3) Regardless of the number of Council Members present, or request of a member of the <br />public, any Council Member may exercise a personal privilege to have an item <br />continued once unless State law or local regulations require that action be taken at <br />that time. This privilege is not to be taken lightly. <br /> <br />4) If a matter is continued, the Presiding Officer will ask if those present who wish to <br />speak to the matter can return at a later date.
