510—GSG-3925 C. C. S. PLANNING 772 PO4 FEB 27' 96 16: 13
Attachment 1
Mr. Gary Kruger
PAGE 3
We did not review potential queuing conditions for the projected traffic volumes to see if any turn
lanes would become deficient in length as a result of the project. The project -generated traffic
volumes do not appear high enough to affect lane storage requirements. However, regional traffic
growth on Doolittle could potentially necessitate lengthening of either the southbound left turn pocket
and/or northbound right turn lane on Doolittle. These improvements, if needed, would not be related
to the Marriott project.
Conclusions
Based on this review, we generally concur with your report findings. However, given the uncertainty
about future regional traffic growth in the Doolittle corridor, we would recommend that the City
periodically review and re-evaluate the intersection traffic level of service and queuing in the future,
and also include this intersection for analysis of any future development proposals in the general area.
Please call Mike Kennedy or me if you have any questions about our analysis. Thank you for the
opportunity to serve the city.
Sincerely,
CCS Planning and Engineering, Inc.
Chwen C. Siripocanont, P.E., T.E.
President
C: WfDOCSWRNOTT.LSr
46
