Long notes one accident in 1973 <br />and 1974 involving a vehicle entering Washington from apartments, and <br />notes construction of Moritz -Harold connection will result in a safer travel <br />route for tenants. <br />■ Feb. 3, 1977 CSL Traffic Report notes "decided not to close driveway because <br />it provides some measure of safety" and that benefits of leaving the driveway in <br />place outweigh those to be realized by closing the driveway." Lists problems <br />with having only Washington access as including speed of Washington traffic; <br />heavy volume of traffic on Washington; curved street alignment; poor visibility <br />afforded from driveways. <br />■ April 1, 1977 CSL inter -office memo from Vitz, City Planner: notes driveway <br />connection to Harold Avenue was approved because "increased safety for <br />tenants and vehicles traveling on Washington was thought to be great enough <br />to offset the inconvenience to residents on Harold"; also notes the danger of <br />making left hand turns onto Washington. <br />■ April 1977: Letter from Sullivan's attorney to CSL regarding proposed <br />revocation notes that driveway was constructed for traffic safety purposes. <br />12 <br />
