EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES 1.0 PROJECT SUMMARY This Agreement is for the development and design of a "standard" City park public restroom facility, and for the preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications for a specific application of the "standard" design for the replacement of two existing restroom facilities at Marina Park. The intent is to develop a standard facility that can be used in any of the City parks with minor adjustments to fit varying site conditions and restroom size requirements. The new design will be used to construct replacements for existing public restrooms at various park sites. The initial implementation of the newly developed standard restroom design is scheduled for construction of replacement facilities at Marina Park (north and south) in 1996. This Agreement also includes the preparation of detailed construction plans, specifications and estimates and construction related support for the replacement of the Marina Park facilities. 1.1 Design Parameters The project design and preparation of construction plans and specifications shall include the following: 1. Demolition of existing wood frame and/or concrete block buildings and concrete slabs/foundations at the respective parks. 2. New buildings shall contain the following features: a. Locations shall be the same as existing buildings with existing restrooms being out of commission during demolition and construction. Provisions shall be made to include portable facilities during shutdown period. b. The designs shall incorporate all current applicable building and access codes and standards. C.
