19. NOT USED <br />20. NOT USED <br />21. NOT USED <br />22. No. 2 Water System <br />II. SCOPE OF WORK <br />The work shall include all items as specified herein. The Contractor <br />shall conduct the work in four distinct phases as described below. Upon <br />execution of this contract, the Contractor shall commence work on Phase <br />2 and 3 only. Phase 4 shall not commence until all work in Phase 2 and <br />3 has been completed, Phase 2 and 3 deliverables are submitted, and a <br />Contractual Services Agreement has been issued to proceed with the next <br />phase. <br />Phase 2 Design shall consist of: (1) preparation of Retrofit <br />Contract Documents for bidding purposes; (2) preparation of <br />Engineer's Estimate of construction cost including quantity <br />calculations; (3) preparation of a Probable Construction Schedule; <br />(4) assembly and submission of Seismic Assessment Calculations of <br />items studied in Phase I; (5) preparation of an Effluent Outfall <br />Bypass Study (Line 15) and Design and (6) Meetings <br />Phase 3 Bidding and Permit Support, Technical Services shall <br />consist of providing technical support during the permit and bid <br />process. This phase is where the permits are filed, and the <br />project is let out to bid. <br />Phase 4 Construction Administration and Support shall consist of <br />providing technical services during the physical construction of <br />the work shown in the contract documents. <br />Below is a detailed description of the tasks which are included in the <br />remaining phases. The Contractor shall perform and complete these tasks in <br />accordance with the City's requirements. <br />PHASE 2. DESIGN <br />1. Retrofit Contract Documents - The contract documents are to be <br />prepared for work performed as part of a construction contract by <br />general contractor. The Contractor shall prepare construction <br />drawings and specifications in accordance with the approved <br />retrofit plan for the facilities identified in the Project <br />Description. Plans shall show locations and details of retrofits <br />as well as other modifications required to facilitate <br />construction. Drawings and specifications shall be in a format <br />conforming to City Standards and the Standard Specifications for <br />Public Works Construction ("Greenbook").
