19. NOT USED 20. NOT USED 21. NOT USED 22. No. 2 Water System II. SCOPE OF WORK The work shall include all items as specified herein. The Contractor shall conduct the work in four distinct phases as described below. Upon execution of this contract, the Contractor shall commence work on Phase 2 and 3 only. Phase 4 shall not commence until all work in Phase 2 and 3 has been completed, Phase 2 and 3 deliverables are submitted, and a Contractual Services Agreement has been issued to proceed with the next phase. Phase 2 Design shall consist of: (1) preparation of Retrofit Contract Documents for bidding purposes; (2) preparation of Engineer's Estimate of construction cost including quantity calculations; (3) preparation of a Probable Construction Schedule; (4) assembly and submission of Seismic Assessment Calculations of items studied in Phase I; (5) preparation of an Effluent Outfall Bypass Study (Line 15) and Design and (6) Meetings Phase 3 Bidding and Permit Support, Technical Services shall consist of providing technical support during the permit and bid process. This phase is where the permits are filed, and the project is let out to bid. Phase 4 Construction Administration and Support shall consist of providing technical services during the physical construction of the work shown in the contract documents. Below is a detailed description of the tasks which are included in the remaining phases. The Contractor shall perform and complete these tasks in accordance with the City's requirements. PHASE 2. DESIGN 1. Retrofit Contract Documents - The contract documents are to be prepared for work performed as part of a construction contract by general contractor. The Contractor shall prepare construction drawings and specifications in accordance with the approved retrofit plan for the facilities identified in the Project Description. Plans shall show locations and details of retrofits as well as other modifications required to facilitate construction. Drawings and specifications shall be in a format conforming to City Standards and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction ("Greenbook").
