Priority #2: Preserve existing affordable rental and ownership housing for low and <br />moderate -income households. <br />Resources Used: <br />The City applied CDBG and Redevelopment Agency funds to programs. <br />Activities Undertaken: <br />The City contracted with Alameda County for rehabilitation services, funded with <br />both CDBG and Redevelopment Agency Set -Aside funds. The City also provided <br />special project minor rehabilitation services to a few low income households. During <br />the last year, a combined total of 118 units were rehabilitated. A variety of programs <br />were available: Minor Home Repair; Housing Rehabilitation; Rental Rehabilitation; <br />Mobilehome, Disabled Access, Paint and Seismic grants. <br />The City's Housing Division staff continued to monitor the Below Market Rate <br />affordable housing units through written quarterly reports and site visits. There are <br />currently 176 units in the program, an additional 25 units were added during the this <br />time period by the Redevelopment Agency Regulatory Agreements. <br />Geographic Distribution: <br />The programs are City wide. <br />Leverage of Non -Federal Resources: <br />Redevelopment Set -Aside funds. <br />Matching Contributions: <br />Some owner contribution funds were received. <br />Actual Investment vs. Planned: <br />The City allocated $410,196 of CDBG funds and $185,608 of Redevelopment funds <br />for rehabilitation. Of this, a combined total of $822,725 was expended or committed <br />during this time period <br />
