SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />General <br />The San Leandro Library Retrofit/Renovation Project (Project) includes the retrofit/renovation <br />and expansion of the main library structure, reconstruction of the plaza and parking lot area and <br />addition of offstreet parking on the adjacent streets. <br />The Contractor shall provide the City with professional and associated support services to; <br />provide services associated with pre -design activities; assist City staff in determinating location(s) <br />for temporary facilities using existing structures; project management services in the production <br />of design development, temporary relocation, and contract documents; and construction <br />management in the implementation of the relocation plan, including construction as necessary at <br />the selected temporary facilities. <br />Phase I Pre -design <br />1. Attend meetings with the firm performing the Architect's peer review. Review and comment <br />on findings. <br />2. Update the project budget and schedule to reflect revisions to the schematic design, the <br />findings of the Architect's peer review, and the City's current thinking related to interim <br />library operations and the public review process. <br />Negotiate the terms of the contracts for the Architect and other design phase consultants. <br />Prepare the contracts for execution by the City. <br />4. Assist the City staff in defining the process, extent, and timing of public review activities. <br />5. Coordinate with utilities companies in providing service as required by the facility. <br />Phase II Design Development <br />Manage and coordinate the design development process. Interface with the design team, City <br />staff, and outside firms and agencies, to facilitate the design process. <br />2. Assist City staff in identifying a qualified technology consultant to produce a technology plan. <br />Negotiate the terms of the consultant's contract and prepare the contract for execution by the <br />City.
