Shall the increase to business license fees to be charged by the <br />City to businesses operating in the City adopted by ordinance <br />YES <br />No. 98- 04 be approved? <br />NO <br />SECTION 3. A copy of the business license fee schedule to be approved <br />is attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 4. Pursuant to the provisions of the Elections Code of the <br />State of California, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby <br />requests that the Special Municipal Election of the City of San Leandro to <br />consider this measure be held June 2, 1998, in conjunction with and to be <br />consolidated with the General Municipal Election for the City of San Leandro <br />and the statewide election to be held in the City of San Leandro on said date, <br />and further requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda to <br />make its order of consolidation and thereafter call said consolidated election, <br />and to direct the Alameda County Registrar to conduct all necessary services <br />related to said election and to bill the City for the cost of conducting said <br />election. <br />SECTION 5. That notice of the time and place of holding the election <br />is given and the City Cleric is authorized, instructed and directed to give <br />further or additional notice of the election, in time, form and manner as <br />required by law. <br />FURTHER, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does hereby <br />RESOLVE as follows: <br />1. That arguments for and against the ballot measure submitted to the <br />voters of the City of San Leandro to be considered at the June 2, 1998 General <br />Municipal Election will be permitted, not to exceed 250 words, but rebuttals will <br />not be permitted. <br />2. That pursuant to Section 9280 of the California Elections Code this <br />Council hereby directs that the City Attorney prepare an impartial analysis of the <br />measure to be placed before the electorate. <br />OA <br />
