Shall the increase to business license fees to be charged by the City to businesses operating in the City adopted by ordinance YES No. 98- 04 be approved? NO SECTION 3. A copy of the business license fee schedule to be approved is attached hereto as Exhibit A. SECTION 4. Pursuant to the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby requests that the Special Municipal Election of the City of San Leandro to consider this measure be held June 2, 1998, in conjunction with and to be consolidated with the General Municipal Election for the City of San Leandro and the statewide election to be held in the City of San Leandro on said date, and further requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda to make its order of consolidation and thereafter call said consolidated election, and to direct the Alameda County Registrar to conduct all necessary services related to said election and to bill the City for the cost of conducting said election. SECTION 5. That notice of the time and place of holding the election is given and the City Cleric is authorized, instructed and directed to give further or additional notice of the election, in time, form and manner as required by law. FURTHER, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does hereby RESOLVE as follows: 1. That arguments for and against the ballot measure submitted to the voters of the City of San Leandro to be considered at the June 2, 1998 General Municipal Election will be permitted, not to exceed 250 words, but rebuttals will not be permitted. 2. That pursuant to Section 9280 of the California Elections Code this Council hereby directs that the City Attorney prepare an impartial analysis of the measure to be placed before the electorate. OA
