Digital Elevation Models
Points for surface modeling shall be collected using analytical stereoplotters or digital
photogrammetric workstations. The use of autocorellation techniques is acceptable, provided that
all point information is corrected to ground level. Point data shall be delivered to the City in an
ASCII format that is compatible with the ARC/INFO system.
A digital topographic coverage shall be created for the entire City with 2 foot contour intervals.
Orthophotos
Digital orthophotography shall be created as 256-shade gray scale imagery. Delivery pixel
resolution shall be quarter foot (0.25'). Tiles shall be mosaiced so that images appear to be
completely seamless when displayed or plotted through ARC/INFO. Radiometric adjustment shall
be performed to balance brightness and contrast of the imagery over the entire project.
The orthophotographs shall be delivered as 8-bit gray scale .TIFF files, and correspondingly named
world header files with a .TIFW extension. Coordinates in each world header file shall apply to the
upper left corner of the matching tile. The file naming convention will be determined by the City.
All digital data shall be delivered on optical CD-ROM disks.
The Consultant shall provide 30 of the orthophotographs for a sample installation on the City
system. The proposed image enhancement software shall also be provided, so that test prints can be
made of the aerials.
Feature Compilation
Consultant shall provide the following feature compilations: street names, street centerlines, edge
of pavement or edge of curb, building outlines and utility pole locations (utility, electrolier and
traffic). Data should be compiled as either polygon or line coverage's, as appropriate. Files shall
be delivered as both a) AutoCad drawing files with a dwg file extension, Release 13 and b) in
ARC/INFO format.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES
3.3.1 The following items shall be included within the proposed budget:
A) Flight and Control Map, including proposed tile layout and City Limit lines.
B) One (1) set of contact prints and a 24" x 36" photo index sheet map.
C) Digital Terrain Model, with 2 foot contours, in ASCII format compatible with
ARC/INFO on Unix.
Exhibit A Page 2 of 4
1/10/90 Rev.
