Marcella Richardson, tenant, explains that she uses the Harold Ave. exit/access because it <br />is safer. <br />■ Testimony at July 5, 1977 City Council meeting: <br />Testimony of St. Moritz tenants in support of Harold Avenue exit noted from Mr. Les <br />Fahey; Mrs. Elsie Cunha and Mrs. Richardson. <br />■ April 25, 1979 traffic request from Mrs. Holdren to remove red curb area to increase <br />parking on Washington; also notes problem of making left hand turn onto Washington, <br />desirability of increasing red curb area to provide more room for accelerating vehicles <br />leaving St. Moritz and recommendation to make no change because of the high demand <br />for on -street parking. <br />■ May 31, 1979 request from St. Moritz tenants for lower speed limit on Washington; <br />■ Letters to Planning Commission for consideration at July 11, 1996 meeting: <br />■ Letter dated July 5, 1996 from Yvonne Harness, senior citizen and tenant, noting Harold <br />Street exit provides safer route; <br />■ Letter (undated) from Violet English, tenant, re danger in exiting onto Washington and <br />support for Harold Ave. access; <br />■ Letter (undated) from Hortense Marten, tenant and senior citizen, requesting <br />Harold Ave. accessibly maintained for safety reasons; <br />■ Letter of July 6, 1996 from Stephen and Ruth Welsh, tenants, re: necessity of Harold <br />Ave. exit in order to turn left onto Washington safely; <br />■ Letter of July 3, 1996 from Carmen Allen, tenant, citing problem of visibility <br />in trying to exit directly onto Washington and supporting Harold Ave. access <br />G:UOANN\SMORrrL\RES FD4DG.
