Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report — FY 2001-2002 <br />City of San Leandro <br />Page 6 <br />Matching Contributions: <br />N/A <br />Priority: Reduce Housing Discrimination. <br />Resources Used: <br />The City applied CDBG, HOME and Redevelopment Housing Set -Aside funds to further <br />this priority. <br />Activities Undertaken: <br />Fair Housing Services and Tenant/Landlord Counseling <br />0 The City contracted with ECHO Housing, Inc., a regional non-profit fair housing <br />agency, to provide tenant/landlord counseling, fair housing services, and outreach to <br />landlords and tenants. During FY 2001, ECHO investigated 22 complaints of alleged <br />housing discrimination. The following table shows the type and number of <br />complaints investigated. Eighty rental managers attended the MMAP, sponsored by the cities <br />of San Leandro and Hayward, Alameda County, and the Rental Owners Association <br />of Southern Alameda County (RHO). Outreach to tenants regarding fair housing <br />rights was done through presentations, public service announcements (PSA's), and <br />flyer distribution at community events, community agencies, and the public libraries. <br />Communi , Acceptance <br />n The City continued its support to East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO) campaign <br />for community acceptance of affordable housing and co -sponsored the Affordable <br />Housing booklet and Affordable Housing Week Celebration. <br />
