EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF WORK 1. The term of this Agreement shall be until all Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds authorized by this Agreement are expended or this Agreement is terminated. 2. The CDBG funds approved under this Agreement shall only be used in paying construction related fees and work to the Building Futures With Women and Children facility at 501 Davis Street, San Leandro, CA. The 2002-03 allocation will be combined with the Building Futures With Women and Children contribution to complete the project. 3. The Recipient shall follow all provisions and keep all records set forth in Exhibit D and Exhibit E of this Agreement. 4. The Recipient shall include the required provisions and language in all construction contracts for Work on the "Property", signed during the term of this Agreement. 5. The Recipient shall request any changes to the list of Work or budget in writing. The City Manager may approve requests at his discretion. 6. List of Work for which recipient may use CDBG funds: San Leandro Shelter Improvements Bathroom $25,000 Replace four toilets with commercial, pressure boosted flushing toilets; furnish and install exhaust fan with morepower; repair shower stalls and sinks. Front Gate $ 3,550 Furnish and install steel gate posts and latch, install intercom and electric opener to front gate. Exterior $13,900 Paint exterior and replace dry rotted window sills Office / Bathroom $ 5,000 Remove bathroom and walls in case management office to enlarge meeting ace. Miscellaneous $12,550 Repair windows; install panic hardware and repair hardware on all exterior doors; provide wood gates with steel frames at garbage and recycling areas.
