EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />1. The term of this Agreement shall be until all Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) funds authorized by this Agreement are expended or this Agreement is terminated. <br />2. The CDBG funds approved under this Agreement shall only be used in paying construction <br />related fees and work to the Building Futures With Women and Children facility at 501 <br />Davis Street, San Leandro, CA. The 2002-03 allocation will be combined with the Building <br />Futures With Women and Children contribution to complete the project. <br />3. The Recipient shall follow all provisions and keep all records set forth in Exhibit D and <br />Exhibit E of this Agreement. <br />4. The Recipient shall include the required provisions and language in all construction <br />contracts for Work on the "Property", signed during the term of this Agreement. <br />5. The Recipient shall request any changes to the list of Work or budget in writing. The City <br />Manager may approve requests at his discretion. <br />6. List of Work for which recipient may use CDBG funds: <br />San Leandro Shelter Improvements <br />Bathroom <br />$25,000 <br />Replace four toilets with commercial, pressure <br />boosted flushing toilets; furnish and install exhaust <br />fan with morepower; repair shower stalls and sinks. <br />Front Gate <br />$ 3,550 <br />Furnish and install steel gate posts and latch, install <br />intercom and electric opener to front gate. <br />Exterior <br />$13,900 <br />Paint exterior and replace dry rotted window sills <br />Office / Bathroom <br />$ 5,000 <br />Remove bathroom and walls in case management <br />office to enlarge meeting ace. <br />Miscellaneous <br />$12,550 <br />Repair windows; install panic hardware and repair <br />hardware on all exterior doors; provide wood gates <br />with steel frames at garbage and recycling areas. <br />TOTAL <br />$60,000 <br />Exhibit A— Building Futures page 1 of 2 <br />September 16, 2002 <br />GACommunity Development\CDBG\BuildingFutures\FY2002-03 <br />
