OF <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORMN <br />JACK <br />TYG �oBLUE <br />COUN <br />PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY, a California corporation, hereinafter <br />called Pacific, hereby grants to CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, a municipal corporation <br />of the State of California, hereinafter called City, the right to construct, <br />maintain, and use a street within the strip of land, situate in the City of <br />San Leandro, County of Alameda, State of California, described as follows: <br />A strip of land of the uniform width of 50 feet extending from <br />the southeasterly boundary line of the parcel of land conveyed by <br />Oakland Title Insurance and Guaranty Company to Pacific Gas and <br />Electric Company by deed dated November 17, 1927 and recorded in <br />the office of the County Recorder of said County of Alameda in Book <br />1753 of Official Records at page 142 northwesterly 367 feet, more <br />or less, to the southeasterly boundary line of the 0.307 acre par- <br />cel of land conveyed by Pacific Gas and Electric Company to Title <br />Insurance and Trust Company by deed dated April 11, 1962 and re- <br />corded in the office of said County Recorder on Reel 612 of Official <br />Records as Image 573 and lying contiguous to and southwesterly of <br />the line which begins at the intersection of the northwesterly bound- <br />ary line of Lot 1 of Block 2 with the northeasterly boundary line of <br />Rose Street, as said Lot 1, Block 2 and Rose Street are shown upon <br />the map of Tract 860 filed for record in the office of the County <br />Recorder of said County of Alameda in Book 18 of Maps at page 46, <br />and -runs thence northwesterly approximately 367 feet to the most <br />easterly corner of said 0.307 acre parcel of land. <br />In the event that City's use of said strip of land shall at any time or <br />times necessitate a rearrangement, relocation, reconstruction, or removal of <br />any of Pacific's facilities then existing on said strip of land and City shall <br />notify Pacific in writing of such necessity, Pacific shall proceed to effect <br />such rearrangement, relocation, reconstruction, or removal and City agrees to <br />reimburse Pacific for its costs in complying with such notice. <br />Pacific reserves the right to replace, maintain, and use its existing electric <br />transmission lines across said strip of land, and the further right to erect, <br />install, replace, remove, maintain, and use in, on, along, and across said strip <br />of land such underground pipe lines, for any and all purposes, and underground <br />and overhead electric and communication lines, as it shall from time to time deem <br />necessary in the conduct of its business, but cnly in locations that will not <br />-1- <br />
