SPECIAL PROVISIONS The work embraced herein shall be done according to the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction 1969 Edition, by the NortL.ern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association, and according to these Special Provisions. These Special Provisions shall govern in lieu of conflict- ing provisions of the Standard Specifications, but shall in no way nullify non -conflicting portions of the Standard Specifica- tions. TIME OF COMPLETION The contractor shall prosecute the work to completion before the expiration of twenty (20) working days. DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES General - The work consists of demolition and disposal of improvements at the following locations, to wit: 1001, 1013, and 1019 Davis Street San Leandro, California Permits - The contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary licenses and permits prior to beginning work. A demolition per- mit is required for each structure and shall be obtained from the Public Works Department, Code Compliance Division, City of San Leandro. Insnection of the Site - No guarantee as to the condition of the buildings or their contents, fixtures, or any part thereof is either expressed or implied by the owners. Buildings will be locked during bidding process. Bidders will be expected to make arrangements through owners to gain access as needed to view premises. Utilities - Disconnections - The contractor will arrange for disconnections of water, gas, electrical, and telephone services. Before beginning work, the contractor shall assure himself that such facilities have been disconnected. Any damage due to beginning of demolition before disconnection of utility services is the responsibility of the contractor. Sewer Laterals - All sewer laterals shall be terminated by caps at the back of sidewalk. 01
