/D y 1 <br />AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT is between the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, a municipal corporation, <br />hereinafter referred to as City, and HARRY J. BENSON, hereinafter referred to <br />as Owner. <br />Recitals <br />City is the owner of certain improved real property in the City of San <br />Leandro, State of California, commonly known and designated as 1357 East 14th <br />Street and 1350 Washington Avenue. On or about April 6, 1970, City intends to <br />award a contract for the demolition and disposal of all improvements on said <br />property. <br />Owner is the owner of certain improved real property commonly known and <br />designated as 1371 East 14th Street. Said property is adjacent to aforementioned <br />City -owned property. <br />Owner has stated his intention to demolish the improvements on said property. <br />Certain parts of said improvements appear to be in common with improvements on <br />property of City. Owner has therefore elected to demolish.said improvements at <br />the same time as and in conjunction with City's demolition of improvements on <br />City's property. <br />At Owner's request, City has prepared plans and specifications for the <br />demolition and disposal of all improvements on Owner's property. <br />City will issue"a call for bids on the plans and specifications for <br />demolition and disposal of all improvements on City's property. Said call for <br />bids will also contain plans and specifications for the demolition and disposal <br />of all improvements on Owner's property and will require bidders to submit <br />three alternate bids stating: <br />1. The cost for doing the work with respect to City's property alone; <br />2. The cost for doing the work with respect to Owner's property alone; <br />3. The cost for doing the work on both City's and Owner's properties <br />together. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, City and Owner hereby agree as follows: <br />
