CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT ON
ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF EDGEHILL COURT
O C /
LID SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT /
IN LOTS 32 AND 33 OF TRACT 2712 /
1. The following plan and legal description are incorporated as a part of
this report:
Drawing Number 462, Case Number 1603
Description LD 72-33
2. The affected street and easement are shown as dedicated to the public on
Tract 2712, filed November 12, 1965, Map Book 52, page 13 to 18, Alameda
County Records.
3. The serving utilities were notified of the proposed abandonment on
February 8, 1972 and all replied that their facilities were either
clear of the proposed abandonment or that the developer of Tract 3132
would be required to reimburse them for relocation.
4. The subject abandonment will not deprive property owners access to a
public street, nor public sanitary sewer.
5. I recommend that the applicant of the proposed abandonment and developers
of Tract 3132 be required to reconstruct curb, gutter, sidewalk and pave-
ment along the frontage of lot 31, Tract 2712.
The City Engineer finds that the portions of the street and sanitary sewer
described under No. 1 above, is not necessary for the present and future public
use for street and sanitary sewer purposes and recommends that the City Council
proceed with the proposed abandonment. {
Richard H. Ward, City Engineer
RHW/JA/jbs
attachments
3/2/72
