That notice is hereby further given that at 8:15 o'clock p.m., on <br />Monday, April 7, 1956, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, San Leandro, <br />California, any person owning real property within the boundaries of the <br />hereinafter described territory so proposed to be annexed and having any <br />objection to the proposed annexation may appear before this City Council <br />and show cause why such territory should not be annexed; <br />That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections <br />to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory pro- <br />posed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexa- <br />tion. Such protest shall state the name of the owner of the property affected <br />thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms; <br />That the territory herein referred to is uninhabited and is contiguous <br />to the present boundary line of the City; <br />That the boundaries of the territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed <br />are specifically described as all that land situated in the township of Eden, <br />County of Alameda, State of California bounded as follows: <br />COM11ENCING at the point of intersection of the direction pro- <br />duction northwesterly of the northeast line of the Uestern <br />Pacific Railway Company right of way, 80 feet wide, as des- <br />cribed in deed from Mathias Rosa Coehlo et al to the Western <br />Pacific Railway Company, recorded November 26, 1906, Book <br />1266 of Deeds, page 127; Records of Alameda County, California, <br />with the west line of Hesperian Boulevard, as said boulevard <br />existed June 5, 1957, being on the City of San Leandro boundary <br />line as established by Ordinance No. 945 N.S. and as shown on <br />the map entitled, "MAP DELINEATING 13OUNDARY OF TERIUTO RY <br />ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA, SY ORDINANCE <br />N0. 945 N.S. UNDER ANNEXATION ACT OF 191311, filed October 8, <br />1954 in Book 32 of Maps, pages 38A, 39A, 40A, 41A, 42A and 43A, <br />Records of Alameda County, California; thence southeasterly <br />along the said City of San Leandro boundary line and said <br />northeast line of the Western Pacific Railway Company right of <br />way to its intersection with the north line of the parcel of <br />land described in deed from J. B. Ward, et al, to ?gym. Knox <br />recorded November 23, 1864 in Book "R" of Deeds, page 86, <br />Records of Alameda County, being the ACTUAL POINT OF BEGINNING; <br />thence easterly along the last mentioned line, and said City <br />of San Leandro boundary line to the east line of the said <br />Knox parcel; thence southerly along the last mentioned line <br />to the said northeast line of the Western Pacific Railway Com- <br />pany right of way; thence northwesterly along the last mentioned <br />line to the actual point of beginning. <br />The above described parcel contains 14 acres, more or less. <br />
