objections to the proposed annexation may appear before this City Council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed; That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory pro- poses' to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation. Such protest shall state the name of the owner of the property affeete' thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms; That the territory herein referred to is uninhabited and is con- tiguous to the present boundary line of the City; That all of the territory hereinbefore mentioned and hereafter described shall, upon annexation, become part of the San Leandro Unified School District, that being the school district of the City of San Leandro. That the boundaries of the territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed are specifically described as all that land situated in the City of Oakland, Alameda County, California, bounded as follows: COMMENCE at the intersection of the southeastern line of 98th, formerly Jones, Avenue with the southwestern line of the land shown on the map of "Tract 669, Oakland, Alameda County, California," filed October 25, 1943 in book 8 of Maps at pages 64 and 65, in the of- fice of the County Recorder of Alameda County; run thence along said line of 98th Avenue, south 620 15' 40" west 400 feet to the northeastern line of the 20 acre tract of land firstly described in the deed by C. R. Adams and Anna G. Adams, to Lucky Stores, Inc., dated October 30, 1947, recorded November 14, 1947 in book 5313 of Official Records of Alameda County at page 253; thence along the last said line and along the direct extension thereof, south 600 i41 20" east 956.17 feet; and thence north 290 45' 4011 east 349.45 feet to a point on the southwestern line of the land shown on said map of Tract 669, said point being the actual point of beginning of this description; running thnee along the last said line the following two course and distances; south 620 41' east 170.73 feet and south 75' 00t east 460 feet to the northern boundary of the City of San Leandro as established by Ordinance No. 723 N.S. of the City Council of the City of San Leandro and "Map Delineating Boundary of Territory Annexed to the City of San Leandro" etc., filed December 12, 1946 in book 9 of Maps at page 46 in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County; thence along said boundary westerly to a point in a line drawn south 290 45' 40" west from said actual point of beginning; thence along said line so drawn northeasterly 290 feet, more or less, to said actual point of beginning.
