IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO._ C.M.S. RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF A SPECIAL ELEC- TION HELD IN THAT CERTAIN DISTRICT KNObJN AND DESIGNATED AS MULFORD GARDENS, EDEN TOWNSHIP, ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, MAY 14) 1957. Whereas, a special election was held and conducted in that certain territory lying within the Cpunty of Alameda and immediately adjacent and contiguous to the City of San Leandro on Tuesday, the lath day of May, 1957 as required by the laws of the State of California governing and providing for annexation of territory to municipalities, which district is commonly known as Mulford Gardens; that said territory was designated by an appro- priate name, to -wit, Mulford Gardens, in the Resolution of Intention of this City Council to call a special election therein; that said territory is hereinafter more particularly described; and Whereas, it appears that notice of said election was duly and regularly given; That voting precincts were properly established, election officers duly appointed, election supplies furnished, and that in all respects said elec- tion was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed and the returns thereon made, determined, and declared in time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California concerning general elections; and Whereas, the Council of the City of San Leandro met at the Council Chambers thereof on Tuesday, May 21, 1957 to canvas the returns of said election and to declare the result thereof; and Whereas, the Council finds as a result of said canvass that the number of votes cast, the propositions voted for and against, and other matters as required by law are as hereinafter stated.
